費德里科·弗拉卡⻄(Federico Fracassi)畢業於博洛尼亞州立大學獸醫學院(DVM)“優等生”。在同一個學院,完成獸醫臨床實習工作。 2005年,獲得博士學位後,成為意大利博洛尼亞大學獸醫醫學系的常任教職,現任內科醫學副教授兼內科學系主任。他在瑞士蘇黎世大學的小動物內科診所完成了內科住院醫師訓練,並於2012年獲得了歐洲獸醫內科醫學會的內科專科醫師(ECVIM-CA-internal medicine)。工作職責包括患者護理,教育(對學生,研究生培訓和實習生和居⺠的培訓)和伴侶動物內科研究,特別專精於獸醫內分泌學。
他是歐洲獸醫內分泌學會(ESVE)的主席,意大利獸醫內科學會(SIMIV)的前任主席,ECVIM-CA大會執行委員會的董事會成員和“Veterinaria”的編輯,同行評審期刊。他的研究出版族繁不及備載包括期刊文章,研究摘要,案例報告和書籍章節。他與愛德華費爾德曼和馬克彼得森一起共同編輯了“貓的內分泌學”,Edra, 2019年。他的主要研究重點是小動物內分泌學領域。

Since 2003, Prof. Fracassi has authored (first author or co-author) 66 peer-reviewed scientific publications, more than 70 scientific abstracts and 3 book chapters.
He is the co-editor of the book “Feline Endocrinology”. E. Feldman, F. Fracassi, M. Peterson, EDRA, Milan, 1st Ed. The book is multi-author (42 authors) and will be available from April 2019.
He is author of the chapter 304 “Canine Diabetes Mellitus” of the Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Ettinger-Feldman- Cotè, 8° ed, Elsevier, 2017.
He is author of the chapter 75 “Canine Acromegaly” of the Kirk & Bonagura’s CURRENT VETERINARY THERAPY XVI, Scansen-Bonagura Elsevier, 2020.
He is author of the chapter 32 “Insulin treatment of Diabetes Mellitus” of the Feline
Endocrinology. E. Feldman, F. Fracassi, M. Peterson, EDRA, Milan, 1st Ed. The textbook is multi-author (42 authors) 2019.
He is editor of the Italian Textbook “Medicina Interna-casi clinici di autovalutazione”, Edizioni Veterinarie, Cremona, 2016; for this textbook, he coordinated the activity of 32 co-authors.
