Dr. Kobayashi received his veterinary degree from Nippon Veterinary and Animal Science University in 1994. He then studied at Purdue University, which was followed by a residency program in medical oncology at North Carolina State University. In 2001, Dr. Kobayashi became the first board certified oncologist in Japan after attaining board certification in veterinary oncology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). He is now director of both the Japan Veterinary Corporative Oncology Group (JVCOG) since 2010 and the Japanese Foundation of Veterinary Specialists Scholarship (JFVSS) since 2011. In addition, he is an invited specialist of the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (AiCVIM) since 2015 and the president of the society.

 Currently, Dr. Kobayashi is the chief director of the Japan Small Animal Cancer Center; a center that receives approximately 1,000 new cases and 3,500 rechecks per year. He is also interested in teaching, and provides more than 150 continuing education courses for domestic and international veterinarians every year.

Dr. Kagawa received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 and her Ph.D. in 1998 from Rakuno Gakuen University. She also completed an internship at the same institution. Her academic pursuits also led her to study at the University of North Carolina in 2003-2004, where she obtained the American Board Certification in Veterinary Pathology. She is currently the director of North Lab, a pathology laboratory located in Hokkaido, Japan. Her professional expertise includes diagnosing a large caseload of over 20,000 cases annually, in addition to consulting with clinicians three times a week.

Dr. Kadosawa received his veterinary degree and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 1984 and 1993, respectively. He worked as a university faculty member of the Laboratory of Veterinary Surgery and Oncology for over 30 years, and is currently the hospital director of Japan Small Animal Medical Center since 2020. He has also served as president of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery for 8 years, and has acted as a DeFacto member of the Japanese College of Veterinary Surgery. He has mentored many surgeons throughout Japan.
